Every web site has FAQs. So here are a few. Ideally we'd like an opportunity to come to you and explain the issues face to face. Please call +44 1491 413190 or e-mail Charliel@IP426.COM to arrange an appointment.

Q.: When will we need to migrate to IPv6?
A.: Sooner than you think! In reality, different businesses will migrate at different times. Some may want to take advantage of new features in IPv6 and expanding IPv6 markets at an early stage; some may prefer to wait until IPv4 disappears. Whatever the case, now is the time to decide which issues are important to your business.  In Korea and Japan adoption is moving rapidly - the Japanese government has mandated IPv6 for all its networks by 2005!

Q.: Is IPv6 another Y2K?
A.: No... unless you make it so. There is no real "drop dead" date for IPv4. However, many companies will find that they want and need to move to IPv6 long before IPv4 ceases to exist. One of our aims at IP426.COM is to make sure that our clients don't find themselves in an artificial Y2K situation.

Q.: Can we run IPv4 and IPv6 on the same network?
A.: Yes, co-existence methodologies are built into IPv6 - few users could realistically switch over night. There are quite number of different methods fro coexistence and a large number of issues around procedures, security, network design, upgrades etc. We can help you with all of this.

At IP426.COM we are very excited about IPv6. We have a range of business services around IPv6 to offer. Please contact us for information on any of our products. info@ip426.com
